AAPP-7936: Administrators are unable to Clear Device Passcode on iOS 13 & iPadOS 13

 

Overview

The Workspace ONE team has identified an issue with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 devices where Workspace ONE is incorrectly handling unlock tokens required for clearing device passcodes through MDM.

All iOS 13/iPadOS 13 devices have seen to be affected by this issue

 

Resolution 

The Workspace ONE team has prepared a database script that should be run on the Workspace ONE UEM console database in order to prevent missing unlock tokens from overwriting any correct tokens which have already been stored.

This script will work on any supported Workspace ONE UEM database (9.4+) and is being added to the cumulative patches for all supported major versions to prevent running the script after the upgrade. See the table below for patched versions.

 SaaS customers will not need to take any action. The newly developed script is in the process of being deployed.

On-Premises customers will need to download and run the script for their Workspace ONE UEM console version from the table below.
