AAGNT-185870: AirWatch Agent 8.3.2 and older may Crash when Enrolled in VMware Workspace ONE UEM 1902+

AirWatch Agent 8.3.2 and older



Users may experience crashes using AirWatch Agent 8.3.2 for Android and older and are enrolled in environment which uses VMware Workspace ONE UEM 1902 or later. This issue occurs due to the “SafetyNet App Verification” settings in the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub settings on the Workspace ONE UEM Console.


Customer Impact

AirWatch Agent may crash on Android devices when the app version is 8.3.2 and older and is enrolled in an environment with Workspace ONE Console version 1902 or later.



The solution to this issue is to upgrade devices in the Workspace ONE environment to Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 9.0 or newer.
If upgrading is not possible, a short-term workaround would be to disable the “SafetyNet App Verification” setting in the Intelligent Hub settings.
