Introducing VMware Workspace ONE Web 7.3 for iOS

Bugs Fixed in this App Version

  • IBRW-171310: Limited by SSID setting under Network Access Control blocking Workspace ONE Web app browsing.
  • IBRW-171295: Allowed website is blocked when the cache is cleared in Kiosk mode
  • IBRW-171260: VPAT Support.

 

End of General Support for VMware Workspace ONE People

VMware Workspace ONE People will reach End of Support Life on May 4, 2019. On this date, Workspace ONE People will be removed from the App Store and Google Play Store. Between the date of this announcement (February 4, 2019) and the end of life date (May 4, 2019), Workspace ONE will continue to support Workspace ONE People functionality. Bugs with critical priority will be addressed, however new functionality and low priority bugs will not be addressed. Customers deploying Workspace ONE People are encouraged to deploy Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub to employees if they haven’t already.

 

End of General Support for Accessing App Packages Hosted on Internal Network Repositories via Content Gateway

On October 17, 2019, VMware will no longer support the Standalone Content Gateway (additional details here), and in turn VMware will not support hosting internal applications on internal networks with connections facilitated by the Content Gateway (when an Internal App is added as link). What’s New in this App Version

  • AAGNT-183497: Begin using Firebase Cloud Messaging instead of Google Cloud Messaging (GCM will be deprecated by Google on April 11th 2019). Find out more here.

Bugs Fixed in this App Version

  • AAGNT-185629: Global Proxy profile reports as installed but is not configured on Android Work Managed Device (Samsung + Device Owner)
  • AAGNT-185454: Unable to authenticate email with Knox Container Native Email.
  • AAGNT-185438: KNOX Workspace initialization failing frequently on Intelligent Hub 9.0.1.

What’s in this SDK Version

  • ASDK-169949: Added support for utilizing FCM for push notifications from console (please reference the 19.1 SDK documentation for changes needed to migrate to FCM).

Known Issues

ENRL-913: Error displayed after entering email address during Intelligent Hub enrollment on iOS devices

When enrolling an iOS device using Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub, end-users may see the following error message after entering their email address:

  • "We're having trouble loading this page. Please contact your admin to work through this error."
