Chrome OS Certificate Management

Administrators managing certificate-based authentication for Wi-Fi networks on Chrome OS devices may experience issues connecting or authenticating with the network.  The below issues may be observed:

  1. A Chrome OS User Profile with Wi-Fi and certificates gets delivered to the device but fails to connect to the network
  2. Device logs show errors indicating that the certificate is missing from the device

The issue has been resolved in the Dev channel build 72 of Chrome OS.  Customers can test the fix by switching a device to the Dev software channel and upgrading per Google’s instructions at here

Note: Managed devices may need to be Enterprise Wiped (deprovisioned) and factory reset before the software channel can be changed.
