Introducing VMware Workspace ONE Email Notification Service 2 (ENS2) for On-Premise Installations

What's New in this Software Version

  • ENS-940: Notification support for VMware Workspace ONE Boxer for Android.
  • ENS-989: VIP notification support (available in upcoming Workspace ONE Boxer release for iOS, Workspace ONE Boxer for Android will support VIP notifications later in the year.
  • ENS-1119: Enhanced notification formatting.
    Note: ENS2 1.3 requires Cloud Notification Service (CNS) 2.0. Customers should not upgrade to ENS2 1.3 without having access to CNS 2.0.

Utilizing Samsung DeX with AirWatch Launcher

In AirWatch Launcher 4.1 and Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 9.0, DeX is completely disabled by Workspace ONE Administrators using Samsung “Desktop Experience” also known as “DeX” along with AirWatch Launcher to lock down devices for corporate use-cases, may find unexpected behavior when docking and undocking DeX workstations.


Best Practices using AirWatch Launcher with Samsung DeX

In AirWatch Launcher 4.1 and Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub 9.0, DeX is completely disabled by default. Workspace ONE administrators wishing to use DeX mode on Android Legacy devices will need to explicitly allow DeX usage. Admins wishing to use DeX mode on Work Managed devices will need to both disable COSU mode and allow DeX usage. Please see the Utilizing Samsung DeX with AirWatch Launcher for more information.
