Introducing Workspace ONE UEM 1810 for SaaS

The VMware Workspace ONE Team is excited to announce Workspace ONE UEM 1810 is scheduled to be deployed to SaaS environments. When your environment is scheduled to be upgraded, you can view the upgrade timeline by navigating to the My Company page on My Workspace ONE

A separate notification will be sent out when Workspace ONE UEM 1810 is available for On-Premises customers in the coming weeks. 

What's New?

  • The Workspace ONE UEM console now supports all components and integrations for all features announced for Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub (coming soon).
  • Admins can more easily configure the components, required or optional, to take full advantage of the capabilities in the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub.
  • Admins have the ability to define applications that may block the clean installation of an app. By defining a blocking application, the admin can ensure the end-user will be notified if an app needs to be updated but is unable to because a currently running app needs to be closed.
  • Managing internal tvOS apps is the same as iOS apps by adding new versions, renewing mobile provisioning profiles, and adding application configurations.
  • Admins can now provide end users with work and personal separation while retaining management over the entire device by enrolling as Corporate owned personally enabled.
  • Admins can be confident in the managed devices by leveraging Google's SafetyNet Attestation to validate the integrity of the device.
  • New Windows 10 Kiosk profile allows you to configure the device Start menu with the apps and groupings you want. Kiosk mode supports most apps and includes some built-in apps such as Microsoft Edge and Maps.
  • Software distribution for Windows 10 is now turned on by default in the UEM console for all On-Premises customers. By default, customers get up to 5GB of storage for applications in the database before they choose to use File Storage.
