Introducing Workspace ONE UEM Console 9.7 for SaaS

The VMware Workspace ONE Team is excited to announce Workspace ONE UEM Console 9.7 is scheduled to be deployed to SaaS environments. When your environment is scheduled to be upgraded, you can view the upgrade timeline by navigating to the My Company page on My Workspace ONE

A separate notification will be sent out when Workspace ONE UEM Console 9.7 is available for On-Premises customers in the coming weeks. 

What's New?

  • CMSVC-7115: Admins now have the ability to check-in a currently checked-out device remotely from the console, so that the device automatically returns to the assigned staging user.
  • CMSVC-7045: When creating a new smart group, admins now have the option to exclude specific user groups so that they are not included in those assignments.
  • AAPP-5671: Admins can now retain data plans and the proximity setup steps when initiating device wipes to iOS devices.
  • AAPP-5543: Admins can now configure all new email and Exchange account changes added to MDM configurations in iOS 12 for additional customizations for S/MIME configurations.
  • AAPP-5620: Admins can now configure all new notification changes added to MDM configurations in iOS 12 such as allowing CarPlay notifications and critical alerts.
  • AAPP-5621: Admins can now configure all new restrictions added to MDM configurations in iOS 12 such as allowing users to share passcodes and set the date and time on a device.
  • AAPP-5624: Admins can now require the native email on iOS 12 and macOS 10.14 devices to use modern authentication for Exchange accounts.
  • RUGG-4270: You can now automate file uploads or downloads between Android devices and Windows NFS servers using new Event Actions features.
  • AMST-6288: Admins can now export one or more applications from the WS1 console into single PPKG so it can be provided to partners for loading onto devices.
  • FCA-186646: Admins can now filter their device list views by the time of "Last Seen".
