[Resolved] ARES-6134: Incorrect email configuration delivered to VMware Boxer users post upgrade

Customer Impact

Customer preparing to upgrade to Console 9.2 who are using application-level email configuration on Console 9.1 or lower and have upgraded to 9.1.x, enabling flexible deployment for Boxer, will be impacted.




Upon upgrading to Console 9.2+, the Boxer configurations may change resulting in either of the following symptoms:

  • Incorrect/old email configuration displayed in the Console for VMware Boxer
  • End-users receiving prompt to re-sync emails in VMware Boxer
  • Incorrect settings (sync period, passcode, DLP, etc.) may be deployed to devices
  • Email down-time



Verify the VMware Boxer configuration in the Console post upgrade, make any necessary changes, then “Save and Publish” the application configuration. The corrected values will be delivered during the next Boxer application fetch.


Fix Version

This issue has been resolved in VMware Workspace ONE UEM 9.7.
