CallKit functionality in VMware Boxer is no longer available for end-users in China

Overview

In response to the newly enforced regulations from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the CallKit functionality in VMware Boxer is no longer available for end-users in China.

 

Customer Impact

End-users in China should be aware that CallKit-based call identification is no longer available in the VMware Boxer settings. iOS Settings for Call Blocking & Identification will still list VMware Boxer and display the toggle even though Boxer does not utilize this setting in any way. This change does not affect the Export Contacts functionality.
