Android Pie (9.0) is here!

Android Pie (9.0) is here! A script is available to run for on-premises customer to add the 9.0.0 Android version to use for enrollment restrictions and compliance and is avaialbe here (Agent 8.3 for Android is required).

 

General Information

As of May 8th, 2018, the Android Pie (9.0) beta is free to use by enrolling here. It is highly encouraged to install these betas on several devices for each platform and test your organizations unique use cases in your VMware Workspace ONE UEM environments. It is also recommended to review the Release Notes for each release to be aware of any known issues with these platform betas. The VMware teams will be testing our applications and supported versions against these betas as well and provide updates for Known and Resolved Issues on this page. 

 

Behavior Changes

The default Android launcher has an updated user interface to help users distinguish between work and personal applications. Users will see separate tabs to differentiate between work and personal.
