VMware AirWatch is announcing the End of Availability (EOA) of the VMware Socialcast product effective today, May 17, 2018. The product is no longer available for purchase from VMware.
The focus of the VMware End-User Computing team continues to be delivering a digital workspace that securely enables anytime, anywhere access to all apps, services, and resources across all devices. In an effort to align teams and resources around this mission, we have made a strategic decision to discontinue our enterprise social networking (ESN) platform, Socialcast.
All existing Socialcast deployments with active SnS will continue to be supported until the End of General Support (EOGS) date of May 17, 2019, 1-year from the date of this announcement. Socialcast customers can continue using the product until the EOGS date. Customers with active support and subscription can file technical support requests using the VMware Support Portal.
Please note that during this period, the product will continue to operate in maintenance mode and new features will no longer be added. All beta features related to Socialcast (such as the analytics reports) will also no longer be supported. Additional information regarding the EOGS date and Lifecycle Support Policy for Socialcast can be found in the resource links below.
VMware AirWatch encourages existing Socialcast customers to investigate replacement options for their enterprise social collaboration solution and to export all data for their community prior to the End of General Support date of May 17, 2019.
