Removal and Replacement of AirWatch Agent for Android on Amazon App Store

In order to provide the most reliable experience for upgrading the AirWatch Agent for Android on the Amazon App Store, VMware AirWatch is removing the existing version and replacing it with an updated version. This process will be beginning on Monday, January 29th 2018. As this is a different upgrade flow than what is done on the Google Play Store, VMware AirWatch is recommending all devices which have enrolled using the AirWatch Agent 5.3 for Android from the Amazon App Store uninstall the existing agent and separately install the new version to prevent any unexpected behavior.  

 

Required Action

Re-enroll any devices which have enrolled using the AirWatch Agent 5.3 for Android from the Amazon App Store.  

 

Implications for Customers

If the required steps are not taken and the AirWatch Agent 8.0.2 is installed on devices enrolled with AirWatch Agent 5.3 installed, the devices might unenroll and require a new enrollment.
