End of General Support for VMware Content Locker for Windows Desktop

On April 1, 2018, the VMware Content Locker for Windows Desktop application will reach End of General Support.  On this date, the installer file will no longer be available on the Self Service Portal in versions beyond AirWatch 9.1, and AirWatch can no longer guarantee full support to devices leveraging this application.

VMware Content Locker will continue to be supported, and is available in the Windows Marketplace.


Implications for Customers

Customers should work to migrate any devices leveraging the VMware Content Locker for Windows Desktop application to the VMware Content Locker app available in the Windows Marketplace.  Leverage the “VMware Content Locker Capabilities by Platform” section on page 40 of the VMware AirWatch Mobile Content Management Guide to identify potential product differences in your use cases.
