Using Legacy Settings and Policies for AirWatch Content Locker

When administrating the use of Content Locker on support device platforms, all of the available SDK settings can be configured with the default or custom SDK profile options. The available settings includes:

  • Authentication Type
  • Single Sign on
  • Offline Access
  • Compromised Protection
  • Geofencing
  • Data Loss Prevention
  • Branding
  • Logging
  • Analytics

Within the AirWatch Console on the Settings > Content > Applications > Content Locker page there is an option to Use Legacy Settings and Policies when using a custom Application Profile. The use of Legacy Settings may impact the behavior of the default SDK settings listed above. Therefore it is recommended to use the default or custom SDK settings over Legacy Settings for Content Locker except in the specific edge scenario outlined below:

  • Legacy settings may be required when using Content Locker as a stand-alone application (i.e. without MDM enrollment) and when requiring token-based authentication.

All other scenarios are supported while using the SDK settings available in the default or custom profiles.

For more information on the available SDK settings for Content Locker, please see our Mobile Content Management guide available here.
