  • Secure transfer of document metadata to prevent "man-in-the-middle" attacks
  • Administrator-controlled settings to block brute password attempts
  • Monitoring capabilites to view all Content Locker activity on a per-document basis

What is the data storage limit for SaaS customers? How do I purchase more space?

Individual files sizes are limited to 250MB.

Total storage space per Location Group is limited to 2GB.

To purchase additional storage space please contact Account Services & Support or submit a support ticket through myAirWatch.

Can the Content Locker be integrated with a Network Share or Content Repository such as SharePoint?

Yes - for the iOS version in AirWatch 6.1, content can be selectively uploaded from shared folders, network drives or even SharePoint directories. The same functionality will be available for the Android version in 6.2+.

AirWatch does not currently support integration with other hosted repositories such as DropBox, Google Drive, etc. SaaS customers can leverage EIS to accomplish this.

Do I always need EIS to access Content from a Repository?

EIS is needed in most cases for content repository integration to work today. This is the case because although some on-premise deployments have the AirWatch server on the same network as the repository, EIS is still used to shepherd the device traffic to the repository.

The only situation where EIS is not needed is when all three conditions below are true:

  1. AirWatch is on-premise (i.e. on the same network as the repository)
  2. The repository is SharePoint
  3. The devices are using VPN to access content

The reason for this is because outside of SharePoint, devices cannot resolve the paths to network file shares without the assistance of EIS.

Can you custom brand the Content Locker app?

Yes - with AirWatch 6.1 and version 1.3 of the Content Locker

Custom branding will take affect after the end-user has authenticated to the app for the first time. The icon for the app itself cannot be custom branded.

How can I track usage analytics for my documents?

Analytics can be enabled with an SDK Profile and then viewed under Applications > Analytics in AirWatch 6.1.
