Unable to download managed applications after upgrading a currently enrolled iOS device to iOS 9.2 - Resolved in iOS 9.2.1

Symptoms

We’ve received reports that currently enrolled iOS devices that are upgraded to iOS 9.2 are experiencing issues related to application management.  The impact to these devices includes:

  • They are unable to download managed applications. Currently installed applications continue to function as expected.
  • Compliance policies leveraging an app whitelist/blacklist will not correctly update the status.
  • Automated device check-ins (which include an app list sample update) will fail.
  • Manual application list sample queries will fail.

Commands that do not relate to application management, such as Enterprise Wipe, Device Lock, and Install Profile will function properly on iOS 9.2 devices.

Resolution
