Introducing VMware AirWatch® Service for Honeywell v1.1 for Android

The VMware AirWatch® team is excited to announce that VMware AirWatch Service for Honeywell v1.1 for Android is publicly available. 

Key Features of AirWatch Service for Honeywell v1.1 for Android

Enterprise Reset with MDM Persistence

  • AirWatch Enrollment persists through a Factory Reset 
  • Simply send an Enterprise Reset command from the console
  • The Agent, Service, and other selected apps, files, and profiles are restored after the reset

Factory Reset

  • Send a Device Wipe command to perform a full Factory Reset, in which AirWatch Enrollment will not be restored

MDM Agent Upgrade

  • Utilize the MDM Agent Upgrade File/Action to perform a simultaneous upgrade of the Agent and Honeywell service. 
  • Agent 6.3 and Honeywell Service 1.1 must be installed prior to using this feature 
  • All future versions will be available in APF format to support this upgrade method

Application Whitelist

  • Only whitelisted applications will be able to be installed
  • Non-whitelisted applications will be disabled or removed from the device 

Application Blacklist

  • Blacklisted Applications will be disabled or removed from the device and cannot be installed

VPN Configuration

  • Supported VPN types:
    • PPTP
    • L2TP/IPSEC PSK
    • L2TP/IPSEC RSA
    • IPSEC XAUTH PSK
    • IPSEC XAUTH RSA
    • IPSEC HYBRID RSA

Disable Safe Mode

  • Users will not be able to boot into Safe Mode when this restriction is configured

Support for Marshmallow OS

Minimum Requirements for AirWatch Service for Honeywell v1.1 for Android

  • These features are supported on the following devices and latest OS versions
    • CT50 (KitKat and Marshmallow)
    • Dolphin 75e (KitKat and Marshmallow)
    • Intermec CN51 (Marshmallow)
      • *Requires specific Honeywell-Intermec Service
  • Android Agent 6.3
  • AirWatch Console 8.4+
